Spring is "Glorious"

"Glorious" is my new favorite word ... everything is glorious these days!

Although we have had a few spring showers, the weather has been absolutely glorious.

Benjamin enjoy a glorious spring day ...

Family Weekend

We had a fun family weekend full of fun activities ...

an epic game of Dominion, a picnic at River Bend complete with hide-n-seek,

dying Easter eggs, and brunch at Cracker Barrel ...

Ompak & the great-grandkids!

(except for sweet baby Anna who is in TX).
We had lots of time outside to enjoy the most glorious spring weather!
Ada loves Ompak's hat & cane.

And we all got to worship at church together as a family ...

it will be a while before we get to do that again!

"Sewing" by Mommy

I haven't done much sewing in the last few years,

but my sister in law inspired me to pick it up again.

I enjoyed making this market bag.

It starts out as this little pouch ...
then you flip it over ...

then you unfold it to a full size bag (notice the reversible inside) ...

Next up, I'm working on two quilted duvet covers for the kids.

Babby Emma

One of the highlights of our recent trip was that we got to hang out with Cousin Emma! She is such a sweet, peaceful & smiley baby! She enjoyed watching the bigger kids running around (this picture is at the Please Touch Museum).

Snow Day

On our last trip we got snowed in overnight in Virginia. We were stuck in a hotel in Virginia.

The kids really enjoyed a chance to play in real snow! ;-)

Poor Benjamin was very funny when his mitten fell off

& he realized how cold snow can really be!
