Glow Stick

Grammie got me this glow stick - it entertained me for hours!

I made a fort out of the sofa cushions and played hide and seek with it!

Sometimes it is the simple things in life that are the most fun!

Easter Sunday 2010

We all had a wonderful Easter,

here are a few highlights!

First, we went to church...

Then we went outside...

Then we went over to Grammie's for a fancy Easter lunch.

After that I took a nap, and when I woke up

I got to open my Easter basket!

Then we went outside to hunt for Easter eggs...

-

After I found one, I just wanted to run around and play,

so Daddy had to find the rest of the eggs for me!

-

Good job Daddy -

catching up on childhood memories!

Then I got to enjoy some of my Easter treats!

and I shared some with Ompa.

Actually, the first two attempts to give

Ompa a jelly bean were unsuccessful ...

somehow they kept ending up in my mouth at the last minute!

But on the third try I managed to give him one!

Catching up on Chaos

So, life in our house is slowly returning to normal!

Today I high-jacked Daddy's phone and thought I'd post a few pics from the last few months!

The first few are before I got sick and the last few are after.

This is me at church anxiously awaiting the arrival of my friends!

We usually get there first and I can hardly stand it because I am so excited to play with everyone!

It was wonderful fun!

There are a few nice things about recovery!

First, the doctor told my parents that I could eat anything I want for a couple of weeks!

Also, it was great to get out in the sunshine again!

When I started feeling better,

Mommy was anxious to get me outside in the

beautiful spring weather!

We have enjoyed the park, the lake, and the zoo this week!

P.S. My Mommy has a bit of a weakness for

floppy hats on little girls!

Another fun thing is Cousin Patrick came to visit Gamps and Gammie for his spring break!

He is great at entertaining me!

I especially love it when he reads me my bedtime story!

Tonight we all went out to dinner at

one of our favorite places

called Jerusalem Cafe.

They provided great food,

and I provided the entertainment!

Everyone laughed hysterically

when I decided that I should polish

Gamps' bald head!

Better Days Ahead

My sincere apologies for my recent blog delinquency!

Since most of you know, I'm not going to belabor the account of my family's recent misfortunes. It is sufficient to say that we have all been sick, especially me. Thankfully I have been much better yesterday and today thanks to new meds from the doctor. Mommy is still not feeling great, she is off to the doctor tomorrow. Daddy seems to be all better - just exhausted from taking care of us! Benjamin got the best deal - he seems to be happy and kicking! :)

We are now home after our ill-fated spring break Odyssey, so I hope to catch up on posting soon.

For now I just want you all to know that I am doing better and enjoying whatever I want to eat (doctor's orders) which so far is mostly hot dogs and chocolate.

I am also enjoying lots of kind attention from Grammie and Gramps who felt that my absence was much too lengthy! :)

I'm happy to report that things are looking up at last and better days are ahead (finally)!

Mommy & Me Day

Mommy and I spent a whole day together while

Daddy was away at a conference this weekend!

I got to have my first ice cream cone!

We played together in the play place for a long time too!

where I played happily for a long time!
