We miss you Caleb!

Lately, we have been listening to a radio station in the car called "KLove" which has been a little confusing for me, because when they say "KLove" I keep thinking they are talking about my cousin Caleb.

So, I keep asking Mommy when Caleb is coming (& Anya, & Alise, & Marie).

Hope I get to see all of you again soon!

All About Benjamin by Ada Marie

Have I told you lately what my funny little brother is up to? Here are just a few of his recent accomplishments:
- crawl up and down our hallway at lightening speeds
- pull up on anything & everything he can get his hands on (including the dogs tail)
- let go & stand up by himself (3 times now!)
- clap & laugh when I sing ... and accompany me with, "Ba, ba, ba!"
- make lots of cute baby chatting sounds!

We love our Baby Benjamin so much! It's hard to believe he is growing up so fast!
Love, Ada Marie

Why I am not a food blogger ...by Mommy

As you know, there are lots of beautiful blogs out there for "Phoodies" with enticing photographs of scrumptious dishes plated with little garnishes, sprigs of herbs, etc.

Well, this is not that blog.

We like to have yummy food ... we like to have a pretty table ... but we are usually WAY to busy eating and enjoying it to photograph our dinner.

Case in point ... For our family fun nights the last few weeks we have fallen into a bit of a routine. We go for a family swim at the Y and then make homemade pizza.

I have yet to get a picture of any of this because 1.) our camera is not waterproof 2.) when trying to hold onto squirmy Benjamin in the pool, I cannot take pictures and 3.) we are just having too much fun to be interrupted!

So, here are a few (pitiful) pictures of the delicious pizzas we made.
We invited Grammie, Gramps, and Ompak over to join us after swimming for the pizza last week ...
and we all experimented with different toppings ...
-
First,
we like a little basil pesto and minced garlic
to spread on the crust before baking ...
YUM!

-
Below was a deep dish pizza ...
Unfortunately, we got to it before the camera did ...
it was 1/2 mushroom, olive, pepperoni,
and 1/2 Canadian bacon.
-
-
This was "Greek Pizza" which is not doubt
equally offensive to the Greeks
and the Italians ...
but it sure is delicious!
goat cheese, artichoke hearts, Canadian bacon, black olives, mushrooms ...

*This one turned out to be everyone's favorite!*
Another perversion of ethnic identities ...
"Mexican Pizza"
This was also a big hit!
salsa, shredded chicken, diced green chiles, and mont. jack cheese

I know these pictures are not ideal,
but we had a lot of fun swimming and making the pizzas!
-
Since all the pizza was gone at the end of the evening ...
I think we can call it a success!

Zoo Fun

Last Friday we had another fun outing with the M family ...
You can see some cute picks here!

Birthday Plans by Benjamin

So, this week Mommy realized that our family will be here, there, and yonder for the months of May & June. This means my birthday is going to have to be squeezed in between trips to Wyoming, Chicago, North Carolina, & Indian. She decided she better start making plans or we would end up having cupcakes at a truck stop on the road somewhere!

We decided to invite a few families for a cowboy-themed cookout to celebrate. Mommy ordered these cute invitations today, and couldn't resist sharing them with all of you.

I know many of our wonderful extended family members won't be able to be here in June, but we plan to use this as an excuse to extend our celebration from our visit with the O'Donnell aunts, uncles, and cousins in April to our reunion with the Cockerill/Vinzants in July! Sometime in there we'll have to skype in Grandma & Super Papak too!

We will post more pictures as the birthday plans progress!

lots of love,
Benjamin

Where's Benjamin? ...

It is hard to get a good picture of a baby in motion...

2 quiet kids ... what could they be up to?

Gramps is back!

Gramps is back! We missed him so much! He got back just in time for a visit from his two brothers, Uncle Daniel and Uncle Jim (a.k.a. George)!

I sure had fun playing with them this weekend!
with love,
Ada Marie

We Miss Gramps!

Just a note to say ... we miss you Gramps!

We love you!

Family Fun Night: "Camping"

We had a fun time last Friday.
We set up our tent in the living room.
We filled it with pillows and toys.
We played games in there,
ate dinner,
& read bedtime stories!
-
Unfortunately it was too exciting to sleep in there ...
we had to sleep in our own beds!
-
Here are a few pictures of Benjamin enjoying the tent.
He loved it!
Also, he can crawl everywhere now ... super fast!

We may have gotten a little carried away ...

But we are having a lot of fun!

Valentine's Day Party at "School"

I am so excited about my bag of valentines ...

that I was literally hopping on one foot!
-
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day Party at School today!
We played games, passed out valentines, and had a "parade" in the hallway!
I want to do Valentine's Day every week!

Coming Up Daisies

Mommy & I are doing more sewing/craft projects together. I really enjoyed making this ring.
Since I made it myself, it has that "hand-made" look ... which means it is a bit uneven.
That just adds to the charm.
-

I also made this necklace!
-
And I'm especially proud of the hair clip too -- isn't it cute?
-
This is one very happy (and trendy) little girl!

Children's Museum

A few weeks ago we went with some friends to check out the new Mississippi Children's Museum! It was absolutely wonderful! We all had a fantastic time!

The very talented Ms. Sara took lots of lovely pictures of our fun and made these awesome collages! You can click on them to enlarge.

There were so many fun areas at the museum, I can't describe them all ... here are just a few!

Dance, Music, Theater Rooms
Art Rooms
Climbing/Activity Area
Note: They are still wearing the dress-up clothes!
Farm Area

Sara is an amazing Mom & has two precious little girls! We love spending time with them!
She also posted them on her sweet family's blog! To check it out: Click Here!
THANK YOU SARA!

Benjamin & Marie

Benjamin & Marie had a lot of fun too! Don't think that we missed out on the fun!
-
Remember: You can click on any of the collages to make them bigger!

Pizza Party

One of the fun things we did over Christmas was make pizza with the cousins! We had so much fun ... and the pizza was yummy too! Thank you Uncle Michael and Aunt Rachel for the pizza party and the awesome aprons!

Valentine's Party with Friends

Yesterday we had a Valentine's Party with some friends!
Here are a few pictures of the festivities!
-
"Whooo" wants a party favor? I do, I do!

The main event was to decorate cookies!

We had lots of fun things to decorate with:
icing, sparkle gel, sprinkles, etc.

We sampled a few of our works of art along the way!

Then we had a light lunch and cut the cake!
(Mommy forgot to take a picture before the cake was cut. Oops!)

In my opinion, a party has to have balloons!
-
Here are a few more pictures of the cookie madness:

-

And then we had fun just playing together:

Benjamin had a friend at the party too!
The little boys enjoyed the party for a little while & then they both enjoyed naps!

We also had fun making Valentine's cards:

And everyone had a plate of beautiful cookies to take home:

Thanks for coming M and S families!
We had a wonderful time!
