Family Holiday

So, tonight Mommy and Daddy thought it would
be fun to dress me up in a costume.
Since I was born in December, they dressed me up as a gift.

I really thought it was cool, but then I tried to sit down in it.
That didn't work so well.

This is Mommy trying to get a side view of the costume.

And here she is trying again, I'm not good at being still!

Ah, there we go, finally a good picture!

And then we had a nice meal with lots of autumnal treats!
And we went for a family walk downtown.
It was a wonderful evening!

Communication

I thought I would update everyone on my communication skills. Did you know what I am talking a lot now? Well, I have three words that Mommy and Daddy can distinguish: Daddy, baba (Baby Alise), and Gel (which means come). I actually talk a lot more than that, but they don't understand me yet.

I've also started doing some signs. I can point with my pointer finger to something I want. I also point out the window at birds and cars etc. I wave at people for "Hello" and "Good-bye" and can motion for someone to come to me. I hold out my arms when I want to be picked up as well. And I pull on Mommy's hand when I want her to follow me and look at something.

I knock on the door when I want to go outside too. Oh, and I love to dance to music! And I play hide and seek by putting a blanket over my head. Mommy has a funny video of this, but she can't get it to load. She will keep trying.

Anyway, I will keep working on communicating and tell you how it goes. Too bad I can't talk as well as I type! haha!

Kiddie Park

They are building a kiddie park near our flat,
come on everbody... let's go!
***

Keep up guys!

Don't get left behind!

I liked seeing all of the rides, even though I'm still too small to go on them by myself.

Mommy took some funny pictures of me watching the rides...

I was a bit dazzled by all the colors and lights!

This one is called the Pirate! It's really for grown-ups.
I think Daddy might have taken me on it, but Mommy was there!
;)
This is Mommy's favorite picture. I was pretty amazed by it all!

Here are a few cut scenes from the adventures of Mommy getting me ready in the morning!

Mommy is definitely up to something!

Mommy has been acting very suspicious lately!
She has been trying to recreate all these treats she found online.

She has been practicing her cake decorating skills.

And then I found these papers on the table.
Can someone please read this to me?

She had a whole bunch of them, but she wouldn't let me touch them!

And then, when Daddy was carrying me on his shoulders I spotted this!

What do you suppose this is all about?
Is there something I should know?

My camera has been busy...

Sorry! I haven't posted in a week! Yikes! My friend Gunay borrowed our camera to take pictures at her cousin's wedding. She really appreicated it! She comes over to have tea with Mommy every Monday, so she returned our camera today. So now I will be back on track with posting! Thanks for the patience!

Final Installment

And finally, here are some pictures of me!

I enjoyed running around in the grass!

It was nice to be free to move around instead of posing!

Look at me go!

Have a nice day everybody! Bye for now!

Here are the Family Shots

More family pictures...

I don't know about this guys... I'm looking a little suspicious!

Hurray ... we're walking!

In this picture theya re trying to keep me still!

And here I'm trying to run off and chase a kitten!

Ah, isn't that a sweet picture!
Finally, I"m sitting still AND looking at the camera!

Father-Daughter Pictures as Promised

So here are the promised Father-Daughter pictures!
Daddy & I had fun playing around.

Peek-a-boo!

Look at me!

Here we are being silly!
Not every kid gets to play on ancient Persian statues!

And now, My Favorite Picture of Us ...

Me & My Daddy!

Family Portraits Installment #1

Today we had family portraits taken downtown.

This first set on the blog will feature pictures of Mommy and Me!

Mommy really likes Sepia tones.

I really like this one ... I was watching a kitten run across the park!

Family Portrait Day was a new experience for me.
Mostly it means a lot of going to pretty places
with interesting things like
flowers, grass, trees, water, kittens, etc.
And then when you get there people try to make you
sit still and not touch things!
Grown-ups are so weird sometimes!

This is by far the favorite mother-daughter photo of the day!

Tune in tomorrow for the cutest father-daughter picture ever!

Daddy & ME

I said my first word this week very clearly... "Daddy!"

Mommy has a photo album she put together of pictures of me with Daddy. I like to look at it and she points to each picture and says, "Daddy" and "Ada Marie".

On Thursday I went over to play at Aunt Michelle's house. She is Mommy's former roommate and good friend. I played over there for a couple of hours to give Mommy and Daddy time to go on a "date" at home. Anyway, when they came to pick me up I yelled "Daddy" and everyone was shocked! I kept saying it over and over again!

So, in honor of my first word! Here is a video of Daddy & Me!

So Sleepy

Tonight I fell asleep during my bedtime story.
My mother and I share a love of cozy blankets and books.
Especially on a cold evening. :)

Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater...

Today Mommy was extremely excited to find
fresh pumpkin at the produce stand...
So she began making pumpkin muffins,
pumpkin ravioli, pumpkin tarts, and other lovely autumnal treats!
***
And I discovered that I LOVE homemade pumpkin puree!

I prefer to hold the chunks of baked pumpkin myself.

But do to the mess, I consented to having the puree fed
to me on a spoon. Note my slightly perturbed expression at being spood fed.

Either way, I love the stuff! It has become my new favorite food!

Happiness is ... an empty jar

Did you know that empty jars can be a lot of fun
(especially if they still have crumbs in them)?
Well, I was pretty excited to find one left unattended!

You can take off the lid and chew on it...

You can stick your hand in it like this.

When Mommy comes in, just put the lid back on like this!

She will never know!
