Showing Off My Moves for Ballet Class

I was a bit surprised when Mommy asked me to show off a few moves for the camera ...
-
This one is a keeper! :-)
-
This move looks more like "the twist" than ballet ...
-
What I lack in technique I make up for with gusto...
-
& cute pig tails!

Sorry!

Sorry to be such delinquent bloggers. This last week was probably the busiest in the life of our family. Mommy & Daddy had to finish their thesis-equivalent projects and write several papers each. Also, they had to speak at a luncheon, attend a banquet, & spend all weekend in class.

But, we made it! For better or worse the papers are all submitted. We have now officially turned a corner in the long road to graduation, and the light at the end of the tunnel is shining.

Daddy just has one more essay to write, and Mommy has a class to teach and one exam, but the bulk of the semester is over! Praise the Lord!

We have done some fun things too ... & we will try to get back to blogging about them soon!
Thanks for being patient!

Preparing for Winnie-the-Pooh's Birthday Party

Ever since we went to the Cat in the Hat's birthday party ...
I wanted to throw one for Winnie-the-Pooh!
-
So, last week we had a Winnie-the-Pooh birthday party for family fun night.
-
First, Mommy & I made cupcakes.

As you can see, Benjamin helped too!

They were lemon flavored, and they turned out yummy!

St. Patrick's Day Family Fun Morning by Benjamin

Ada picked out green accessories for all of us!
(btw ... Mommy is not a huge fan of having this photo posted on the internet!)
Don't you love Daddy's tie/shirt combo?

Green waffles, green syrup, green sprinkles, green milk cup!
We had fun making them together!
Green trim on my sweater!
& a green bow in Ada's hair!
Can you tell we were in a bit of a silly mood?

Cabin Weekend ... in pictures

We enjoyed our very cozy cabin!
Mostly we relaxed & ate amazing food.
-

We played 3 games of pool.
David won once.
Kate won twice.
But David won mini-golf ... so the weekend was tied!
-
We joked that we were like an old couple ...
sitting in our rocking chairs ...
Kate crocheting & David reading a book ...

We spent a lot of time in the hot tub too!
Very relaxing!
Here is our cabin ...
"A Beary Cozy Escape" at Timbertop Cabins.
We hope to come back someday!

The views at sunset were amazing ...
these pictures do not do them justice!
-

Next time, we will take the kids & hit the amusement parks too!

Guest Post by Mommy

We had a wonderful weekend at a cabin in TN.
The weather was amazing, the view of the mountains was breath-taking,
and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
-
On our car trip I decided to crochet a little bit.
I haven't done it in years ... and I only know one stitch ...
but I made this simple daisy headband.
-
Ada liked it ... good think she isn't terribly picky!
I need to get a book & learn some more stitches b/c it is really fun!
-
We came home to two happy kids & a yard full of spring flowers!
Ada picked some to decorate our dinner on the deck tonight!
-
It's good to be home!
