Mardi Gras Family Fun Night!

Welcome to Family Fun Night!
Here is our Mardi Gras Meal.
-

Well, I am not really into trying new foods right now,
so I ate pretzels with cheese spread and kiwi and melon!
But my parents ate these...
-

They are called muffalettas.
They are basically sandwiches made on french bread
with cheese, ham, salami, and an olive salad
(olives, mushrooms, sauted red peppers & onions).
This should really be made with a round loaf of
bread, but we improvised!
-

Here is Mommy trying to eat this big sandwich!
Daddy actually finished it for her!
-

He decided we should have them more often.
-

Then we decorated masks with lots of colors!
-

This is Mommy's mask.
-

This is Daddy's mask, I think he thought
it was a super hero costume!
-

I loved coloring my mask,
but I didn't want to wear it!
As you can see,
I prefer to put the color directly on my face!
-

But, I did think Daddy wearing his mask was pretty cool!
-

We had a lot of fun!
But Mommy and Daddy were too full to eat dessert.
So, I tomorrow we will continue with bread pudding and beingets!
-
See you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Uncle Michael!

Can't wait to see you soon!
We love you!

P.S.  Give Alise a kiss for me!
P.P.S.  I kiss on the mouth!  haha!

Bye-bye Tent!

Did you know a tent is a good place to ...
-

read stories...
-

Color pictures...
-

Do just about anything?!
-
As you can see, I've really enjoyed
playing with all my toys in the tent!
-
I put Pooh Bear and Aishe in there for naptime!
-

It's my new favorite place to play!
Unfortunately, Mommy finally took it down.
See, our apartment is pretty small,
and we are having guests over.
But, Mommy did promise to get it out again soon!
-

Somebody is sleepy!

Me?  No, I don't need a nap! No way!
I'm just closing my eyes for a second...

Weekends are for Pancakes!

This is my kitten pancake!
Not quite as good as Gramps' teddy bears...
but still pretty fun to eat!
-

As you can see,
I'm very impressed!
haha!
-

Mostly I'm just concerning myself with
eating it!
-
But Mommy had fun making them,
so that is the main thing!

Late Valentine's Day

My parents finally got to celebrate Valentine's Day
over the weekend,
because last weekend they ended up
visiting friends in the hospital.
-
So, here are a few pictures of them ...

Enjoying a night out for the first time in a long time!
-

They had a lot of fun!
-
Meanwhile, I got to play outside with
my babbysitter and some friends.
I had a nice time too,
but I was very happy when they got back!

Happy Dough Video -- Da Da Da

Here I am enjoying my Happy Dough and practicing my Russian.

Happy Dough

Well, Mommy likes routine around our house.
Every day we try to have meal time, nap time,
outside time, reading time, music time,
and so on... you get the idea
-
We also try to have art time every day.
Yesterday, Mommy had a new idea for art time!
-
She had this idea because as a little girl,
she loved playing with Play Dough...
and Grammie was famous for making the best ducks
that looked something like this ... but better!
-

Around here they call it Happy Dough, but it's really
the same stuff Mommy had as a child.
Except, now they have so many cool gadgets to go with it!
-

Please, take a minute to enjoy the poor English translations...
"Dough My Snackbar" -- what?!?!
Ah, the joy these packages bring to our lives!
-
Ok, now check out what you can do with this stuff!
-

At first, I had to figure out what everything was.
-

Then I went right ahead and made speghetti noodles!
-

That really tickled my fancy!
-

So I went on to make other colorful creations!
After each one I giggled with delight!
I was laughing so hard, that I made Mommy laugh,
which is why the pictures are a bit blurry!
-

Waffles anyone?
-

How about this?
Pretty impressive for a 14 month old, huh?
Ok, so I did have a little help with this one!
Mommy was getting into it as much as I was!
-

I had such a great time,
I played with happy dough for about 2 hours!
In case you don't know, I NEVER sit still that long!
EVER!
So, Mommy was happy, and I was happy!
Maybe that's why they call it happy dough?

Family Fun Night -- Camp Out!

Theoretically, family fun night posts should be a week apart.  Since the fun nights happen every Wednesday.  However, the last couple of weeks have been overly busy so my posts got quite behind.  No worries, though, because this week we are bouncing back to a more normal routine!
-
So, I'm happy to present to you our Urban Camping Adventure!
-

This is my face when I came in and saw the tent set up!
I had never seen anything like it, and I was ecstatic!

Here I am having a tea party with Daddy in the tent.
-

Mommy and Aishe played peek-a-boo in the tent door!
-

We played hide and seek in the tent too!
-

And I even had my bedtime story read in the tent!
Mommy had planned to put it away after Family Fun Night,
but I think I may have convinced her to leave it up for awhile!
It was a big hit with me!
-
We also had Sweet-n-Spicy Chicken tacos for dinner which we all really like.
You can check out the very simple and tasty recipe HERE.
P.S.  We used fresh tomatoes and added onions and garlic for the foodies out there!

Daddy Daughter Dance

This video is from a few weeks ago.
Daddy and I are doing some sort of version of square dancing! haha!

Mommy says please ignore the baby socks, slippers, toys, sippy cup, etc. that you see in the background!  She was too busy laughing at Daddy and me to pick them up!

Stickin' Together!

Hmmm... Do you know what's really fun?
Putting stickers on your faces and then taking pictures of yourselves.
It doesn't get much more fun than that!
-

This is a picture I took of Mommy.
I'm pretty good and pushing the button on the camera!
I also decorated her face with stickers myself!
-

Ok, I don't know what's going on here...
this is just silliness!
-

Here I am with my own lovely accessories!
-

I don't know why I look so serious in this photo!
I was actually laughing a lot as we were doing this.
-

And so was Mommy!
-

We have a lot of fun together!

Curly-Q

Mommy took this picture to show that my hair is curly in the back.
It's getting curlier all the time!

Family Fun Night -- Martha Stewart Style

Somebody gave Mommy some recipe magazines!
-

Don't you just love to look at the pictures?!
-

We like to get new ideas for dinner from Martha.
Side Note: Why do we both have goofy looks on our faces?
-
Mommy gets really into theme dinners.
Here we have Valentine's mushroom-onion bbq.

Once she gets going, there is no stopping her!
-

We try to humor her!  She really can't help it!
What am I eating here...
Why, these are Valentine Steak Fajitas of course!
-

But, best of all were these little beauties
that you see down below.
These are Valentine Cupcakes with
Super-Duper Fudge Frosting.
Daddy ate about 10 of them ... at once!

Happy Late V-Day!
