New Swim Suit

Mommy realized my swim suit from last summer is too small.
She made the mistake of taking me shopping with her for a new one.
I wanted the ones with bright colors and cartoon characters.
She wanted the boring ones.
We struck a deal on this one.
I definitely have my own opinions now about what I wear!
I love my new swim suit - I wanted to sleep in it!
Daddy said it is the last two piece I'm allowed to have! ;)

Big Thank You From Benjamin

Grammie gave us a crib & a bassinet,
so Benjamin has two cozy places to sleep!
Thanks Grammie!
-
Jackson Vaughn sent us his bedding --
it is so cute with all my favorite animals on it!
-
It came with a lot of fun things like this diaper stacker
(already full of diapers).
-
And this fun wall art ...
and some other things we haven't gotten up yet like
curtains and a lamp!
-
Thanks Jackson! :)
-
And William Lovelady sent these adorable blankets with Benjamin's name on them!
As well as some really cute bibs and burp cloths!
-
I haven't gotten pictures yet of all the other things William sent ...
a bouncy chair,
a saucer,
and two huge tubs of clothes!
-
Benjamin sends a big Thank YOU to William!
-
Cousins Alise & Marie sent Benjamin a high chair!
My baby loves it & I'm sure Benjamin will too!
Now he has his own place at the table!
-
Thanks Alise and Marie!
-
Benjamin has gotten some very nice clothes from Thomas Clay too!
Thomas is my good buddy!
-
Thanks Thomas!

And here are some more clothes ...
Benjamin is going to be well dressed thanks to William & Thomas!
-
Gamaw got some cute outfits for Benjamin when she was here too!
Can't wait to see her when she comes!
-
She also got Benjamin his very first pair of shoes!
Don't you just love them?
I know he will ... he can't wait to walk!
-
Thanks Gamaw!

-
Thanks everybody!
Benjamin is really grateful!

Help us out ...

So, Mommy, Daddy, & I have had some discussion lately about what will happen to my blog when Benjamin comes. Although some families do run multiple blogs (one for each child), my Mommy doesn't really think we are up to this. And, since this year she has been seriously delinquent and terribly behind in transcribing my blog posts -- I tend to agree with her. So, we thought we would turn to you, beloved readers, and see what sage advice you would be so kind as to bestow upon us. Benjamin will begin writing guest editorials for the blog very soon. I think after he is born we will probably alternate posting.

In light of that, should we change the name as it appears on the top of the blog? Should we change the web address as well (www.adamariesthoughts.blogspot.com)? And, do you have any good name suggestions?
Thanks!

Benjamin Pictures As Promised

Well, it was high time we caught up on our belly pics.
Mommy & I both had to have an outfit change ...
we outgrew our shirts!
The doctor says Benjamin is a really big baby ...
& I am a growing little girl!
-
This is the face I make when I pose for the camera!
-

This is my "so excited" face!
I love to give Baby Ben big hugs!
-
Can't wait to meet him!

Pregnant Family Photos - As Promised!

We got some family pictures taken -
here are just a few of them.
The blog makes the photo quality a bit off -
but the actual photos look really nice!
-

A few more Easter pictures - from Gamps

I love this one!
Mommy loves my proper little
pose and the sunlight coming through the trees.
She may have to play around with it a bit to even out the lighting.
-
Looking for eggs with Grammie!
-

This is the only egg I actually found!
-

I was very excited about this little flower I picked!

Picture Perfect Pose

Mommy said, "Go show Daddy how beautiful you are!"
And this is what I did - it's kind of a camera pose/ curtsy.
Note: This is a very short video - 5 seconds I think - because I ran away!

Stopping by the Woods on a Sunny Day

Daddy finished work a little early on Monday,
so we decided to explore some
of the walking trails on the Natchez Trace.
Would you like to come along?
-
I love climbing trees with Daddy!
-
The weather has been absolutely prefect lately!
-
Leo had a good time too -
and fertilized every single tree in the woods!
-
hmmm ... Where does this go?
-
I think I'm part monkey!
-

Exploring nature and learning new things.
-
Mommy is not a big fan of having her pictures taken lately,
but she permitted this one.
Lots of laughing and running around!
-
Mommy loves this picture!
-
Watching Leo act silly!
-
Who me? ... Act silly?
-
This is the kind of picture Mommy prefers ...
with a large tree trunk in front of her.
-
She did allow this one too.
After all, we have to include Benjamin in the family pictures now!
-

Thanks for coming on a walk with us!
Bye everyone!

Saturday Brunch

Everyone in our house has a different idea
of what Saturday mornings are for...
Daddy says, "Sleeping!"
I say, "Watching cartoons in your pj's!"
&
Mommy says, "Having a leisurely family brunch!"
-
Today was one of those rare Saturdays
when the stars aligned and we all got what we wanted.
Daddy slept, I watched Thomas the Train, and Mommy made brunch.
Daddy & I were both a little reluctant to come to the table,
but the smell of yummy food enticed us!
-
I look a little grumpy here because I want to eat the food & not pose for pictures!
-
We had fruit, yogurt dip, sausages (made of turkey),
and Pinch-Me-Cake!
(a.k.a. Monkey Bread or Pecan Bunt Cake)
-

It was all very yummy -
I really liked the yogurt dip (I called it ice cream!).
The turkey sausages are very good too - Mommy was excited about them because they are low sodium but still taste really nice.
-
Not a very ladylike picture ...
but it was sure fun to eat!
-
Daddy thought we should have a picture of Mommy with the Pinch-Me Cake since she made it and it looked so pretty. Mommy was not super excited about having her picture taken because she was sporting a casual Saturday morning just-rolled-out-of-bed style - but that's ok.
-
I tried to get a picture of Daddy eating,
but he was too fast ...
he had already eaten two helpings of cake at this point!
-
In this picture I was saying, "The mess, right here!"
This was in response to Mommy's question,
"Where did that mess come from?" ;)
-
When my tummy was nice and full,
I decided to take it easy.
After all, that is what Saturdays are for, right?

Family Fun Night ... Remember Those?

Well, it has been a long time since I posted pictures from a family fun night.
Actually, I think the last one had a Valentine's Day theme.
Oh well, Mommy is trying to get back to it, although her creative juices are a bit low these days.

In celebration of spring and the absolutely divine weather we have enjoyed for the last couple of weeks, we decided to do an outside family fun night!
-
-
The inspiration came because our neighbors were getting rid of this fun play kitchen. Their grandkids had played with it in an outside play house, so it was kinda dirty. Otherwise, it was in good shape. I was so excited about it -- I LOVE the play kitchen in the church nursery.
-
So, Daddy hauled it on the back deck and we proceeded to clean it off. This inspired an outside family fun night/water fight - which Mommy (as the designated photographer) was spared from. Daddy & I however got very wet!
-
There was lots of giggling and spraying and running from the water hose!
-

This is when I realized that my shorts were soaking wet!
-
We did actually get some work done too!
It cleaned up really nicely!
-
I had a lot of fun getting Daddy wet!
-

Note: As you can see the deck is in having an awkward in-between stage. Did you have one of those in junior high? That's ok, a lot of people did. Anyway, the deck guy came last week and pressure washed & sprayed it. He will come back on Monday to re-stain it. But in the mean time it looks a bit odd. So, that is the story for those of you who are extremely observant and curious!
-
After a change of clothes, Mommy brought supper outside and we enjoyed sloppy joes and fruit salad and homemade lemonade. It was really lovely!
-
It was so nice and warm outside!
-
I don't know why I am making a funny face here ...
I think I have a mouth full of fruit!
-
Note: The kiddy pool and mat are in the background because the deck guy had to remove them in order to wash the deck. The weather has been so nice, I think we will try to set the pool up again soon -- I am very excited about this!
-
Leo was very excited to be a part of family fun night!
He doesn't get food from the table ...
-
But he did get plenty of love and attention!
