"my baby"

Here is my baby ... isn't he cute?

I like to make him laugh!

I like to hold him ...

He likes it too ... well, sometimes he does!

Ok, so maybe he wasn't enjoying this so much!

I do help take care of him.

Here I am wiping his hands.

I also help with his bath & bring Mommy his diapers.

Isn't he cute?

I love him!

I think he is the cutest baby in the world!

... even when he's hungry! ;)

Mommy's work out plan

This is a picture of Mommy after her workout

... she looks pretty tired!

She has officially started her workout plan at the Y.

She does 45 minutes 5 days a week.

This is the first week, and she has been pretty worn out!

Benjamin is tire too ... he didn't workout, he just doesn't sleep much at night ...

he prefers to do all of his sleeping during the day ... in someone's arms! ;)

First Smiles

So, Benjamin started smiling this week. First there was a quick grin at Aunt Ginny & then a few almost smiles at Mommy. Today he gave Mommy & Daddy an all out smile for real!

The only problem is that they are very fast and unpredictable

which makes them hard to catch on camera, but we promise to keep trying.

This is the best shot we have been able to get so far, but it doesn't really do his smile justice.

And this is the funny face he makes when he is trying really hard to smile ...

Learning to smile is hard work ...

he was completely worn out and slept through dinner tonight.

It was Daddy's birthday dinner so it was

a very nice Turkish meal.

Sorry you missed it, Benjamin,

next time I'll save you some kebabs!

Yesterday was Daddy's 30th birthday. Mommy made the mistake of enlisting my help in making his cake (I put the candles in it!). So, I proceeded to jump out at Daddy all day long and shout, "Surprise!" over and over!

So, when Mommy & I had the table decorated & his favorite cake ready after he got back from the store ... I don't think he was really all that surprised! But, he did like it!

We have lots of fun birthday plans this weekend, but for now I wanted to say,

"Happy Birthday Daddy!

I love you!"

the silent artsy type ... well artsy anyway...

I wanted to show you some of the fun crafts I have been making lately.

The animals above were a birthday gift for Gramps along with tickets to the zoo!

The owl and skunk, or as I like to say it "gunk" are lots of fun! (below)

I am also developing my musical skills!

I am especially good at improv vocals!

Sometimes you've gotta really get into the music!

... and I'm also perfecting my sketching!

It was a fun & creative day!

Today I was in a musical mood ... so when Daddy got home I brought him the level, I got the yard stick, and I said, "I sing, you play guitar!" ... It really was all my idea, but Daddy sure did get into it!
